One of the most famous e-sportsmen in the CIS countries begins the year by receiving the highest individual award – title of the most successful player (MVP) at the BLAST Premier Global Final tournament. In the final matches, the Natus Vincere team under his leadership managed to first defeat Vitality, and on the same day win the final confrontation with Astralis.
The tournament did not start very well for NAVI, but, having suffered a defeat from Liquid in the opening match, they were able to rally and radically change the situation: making their way to the finals in the lower bracket of the tournament, they successively won victories over Complexity and G2, and then took revenge in the match with Liquid.
S1mple showed particularly strong performance in the final matches, demonstrating a performance rating of 1.47 in the game against Vitality and 1.57 – in the grand final against Astralis. Throughout the tournament, the Ukrainian e-sportsman demonstrated unique performance – even if judged by his initially high standards. These include performance in terms of the number of kills per round, damage dealt per round, and success in duels.
