Sh1ro became the best player of IEM Fall CIS

Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov from Gambit received the MVP title at IEM Fall CIS. This is the second best player title in his career – the previous time he showed the maximum result at IEM Katowice 2021, when Gambit defeated Virtus.pro.

At the IEM Fall CIS tournament, sh1ro was able to rise to the top in several categories at once: he topped the leaderboard in the overall ranking, in the number of clutches won, in the ratio of kills to deaths, the number of kills per round and other indicators. His most notable matches were the game against Entropiq, which he finished with a rating of 1.95, and the grand final, in which Gambit managed to beat NAVI on both maps. In addition, he demonstrated the ability not only to shine in individual matches, but also to produce consistent results, finishing all 11 maps in this tournament with a rating above one.

Sh1ro beat out the other two contenders for the MVP title by a fairly large margin. His opponent Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev did not perform at such a high level as in previous tournaments, so he was unable to continue his streak of three MVP titles in a row. sh1ro's closest competitor at IEM Falls CIS was Marek "YEKINDAR" Galinskis from Virtus.pro, however, he was also inferior to the Gambit sniper in terms of performance.
