European esports organization Sprout has announced the final composition of its CS:GO roster for the new season. The fifth member of the team was eighteen-year-old Max “Marix” Kagener from Luxembourg. Thus, Sprout will not form the core of the team exclusively from German players, as it was before: now, in addition to Marix, it has two Germans and two Danes.
Marix began his professional career in 2020, performing in the Benelux countries and then in Germany, and during this time he changed several teams. Kagener notes that he will change his place of residence in the near future, since key players must be in the same country in order to successfully interact with each other:
“For many people, my move to Sprout was a surprise, but I am glad that I was given this chance. This is a great opportunity to prove that young talents belong to the future. In addition, this is a significant step for me in terms of my personal life, since I will move to Germany so that we can continue to compete in local leagues."
One of the Sprout members Fritz «slaxz-» Dietrich notes that Marix is probably one of the most promising young players in the German esports scene right now. Another promising player recently joined Sprout – seventeen-year-old Dane Victor "Staehr" Steyer.
