It's now official: the first major of 2023 will be held in Paris

BLAST has officially confirmed that it will be the organizer of the first major in 2023. The tournament will take place in Paris from March 8 to 21. Qualifying matches leading up to the RMR tournaments are scheduled for February and March, and the regional competitions themselves will take place from April 3 to April 9.

Thus, the major will be held in France for the first time. In addition, for the first time ever, BLAST will be honored to host an event of such a scale after it has repeatedly confirmed its professionalism by organizing other major events. Interestingly, this spring, French President Emmanuel Macron, in one of his election campaign speeches, promised support for the esports scene in the country and emphasized that France should become a host to major competitive events, such as the CS:GO Major.

In a statement published on the official page of the tournament organizer, BLAST CEO Robbie Dweck promised to hold the “best major of all time.” and not to disappoint the community's expectations. He mentioned that BLAST has always dreamed of hosting an event that represents the ultimate expression of eSports and the competitive scene:“Next year will mark the 10th anniversary of the first Major, and we are confident that we will take this opportunity to host the greatest CS:GO Major to date, to the delight of fans of the game. We will be working closely with Valve to ensure that we exceed the community's expectations and deliver an incredible event."
