Evil Geniuses announced a contract with American e-sportsman Timothy “autimatic” Thay. Thus, he returns to CS:GO after a year in Valorant. He tried to change discipline after Cloud9's results noticeably worsened, despite repeated roster changes.
Before moving to Valorant, autimatic was one of the most titled American e-sportsmen in CS: GO: during the period when Timothy played for Cloud9, he received the title of MVP at ESL Pro League Season 4, and in 2018 he took 17th place in the individual world ranking. His team has won majors and won tournaments such as DreamHack Open Denver and IBUYPOWER Masters in 2017.
If the assumptions about what the new Evil Geniuses lineup will be are correct, then autimatic will have to meet with two former Cloud9 comrades – This is Jake "Stewie2K" Yip and William "RUSH" Wierzba. In addition, two e-sportsmen from the previous roster will remain on the team.
It remains unclear what role autimatic will take on in the team. Before moving to Valorant, he played as a hybrid player, but now the roles of sniper and in-game leader have already been filled. Probably, in the near future, Timothy will have to concentrate on understanding the changes that have occurred in the discipline over the past year.
