Astralis coach releases autobiography

Danny “zonic” Sorensen, a former successful e-sports player and now a coach of Astralis, announced the start of sales of his biography in English. The book was published in Danish back in November 2019. In the book, he talks about the history of eSports in general and the journey to success that the Astralis team has made. Sorensen devotes a lot of space in the book to his own life, reflecting on how he took his first steps in e-sports and how he reached the position he now occupies.

In his own words, the book tells the story of how esports has evolved from matches played in darkened basements to competitions that attract tens of thousands of spectators. At the same time, the attitude towards the players also changed – They are becoming more and more like professionals in other sports, and the participation of nutritionists, physiotherapists, and psychologists is becoming increasingly important for success.

In one of the chapters, Sorensen shared his first impression of CS GO: “I immediately realized that this is one of the most intense games in the world. To stay alive, it requires incredible mental toughness and perfect command of the mouse and keyboard."

Currently the book is sold only in digital form, but zonic plans to release a paper edition in the future.
