The coach of the Finnish team HAVU will temporarily take the place of one of the players

The Finnish team HAVU announced that one of its players, Jemi "jemi" Myakinen will go to the reserve. While the organization is trying to solve problems with the roster, his place will be temporarily taken by coach Taneli “disturbed” Veikkola. The team management explains this decision by “a long streak of unsuccessful results.” after the Finns failed to maintain the level achieved in the spring of 2021.

In April, HAVU took second place at the Pinnacle Cup 2021 tournament, and also rose to fourteenth place in the world rankings. However, in late spring and early summer they were not nearly as successful. They failed to reach the top at either Spring Sweet Spring 2 or Funspark ULTI Europe. Participation in the Elisa Invitational Summer also started with failure for HAVU: the team lost to Copenhagen Flames and 777 in the group stage. In all three mentioned tournaments, jemi's performance was the worst in the team.

On the HAVU website, the team coach commented on the unexpected replacement as follows: “Over the past two months, our results have been lower than what we strive for. It's been really difficult for us to get into the shape we previously achieved earlier this year, and now it's time to look for other solutions. After consulting with HAVU management, we decided to temporarily replace jemi to explore other options. Thus, I will play instead of him in the upcoming matches.

Veikkola has not played as an active player since becoming HAVU coach in 2017. However, he has made similar substitute appearances several times in recent years.
