Coach of the Swedish team fnatic Andre "Samuelsson" Samuelsson, in his commentary for the information portal fragbite.se, spoke about why, in his opinion, the team is unable to achieve the desired result. He noted that the players devote a lot of time to both individual and joint training, achieving a high level of training. The coach believes that now the level of the team is even slightly higher than last year.
However, the main problem that prevents players from demonstrating their potential is psychological pressure. Last year, when fnatic rose to the top of the world rankings, fans did not expect great results from the team, and largely due to this they managed to perform well. Now the situation is the opposite: the team is gradually losing ground in the world rankings due to too high expectations from both fans and the players themselves.
Talking about plans for IEM Summer 2021, Samuelsson noted that the team expects to act more energetically and actively than at previous tournaments, and not be afraid to take risks. In the opening match of IEM Summer 2021, fnatic was defeated by Virtus.pro. In the next match, which will take place on June 4, they will face NIP.
