The Swedish team NIP announced that at the group stage of BLAST Premier Fall as its coach instead of Björn “THREAT” Jonas Gundersen will appear in Persian. The latter is currently one of the leaders of the esports organization. In the past, he played CS 1.6 professionally, retiring as a player in 2006. He has held one of the leadership positions at NIP since 2020.
THREAT's absence is expected to be temporary and he will return to duty at future events. If he gets the opportunity, he will help the team at BLAST, although Gundersen is officially announced as a coach. In any case, the tournament may not be easy for NIP, as it will face teams like BIG and G2 in the group stage.
In an official statement regarding the replacement, THREAT attributed his absence to unexpected circumstances, but did not go into detail: “Due to some short-term unforeseen personal circumstances, I will not be able to participate in these matches, and we have decided that it would be best to announce a coach who can definitely attend.” But I absolutely continue to work with the team, and I hope that I will be able to appear at the game, even without going to the server."
