Turkish team Eternal Fire won the local ESA Supremes Vestel Cup tournament without losing a single match. This was the debut performance of the group, the composition of which was announced recently – August 13.
First, Eternal Fire beat Istanbul Wildcats and Sahangiller without losing a single map, and then, having entered the upper bracket of the tournament, they faced Sangal, lost on the first map, but were eventually able to regain their advantage. In the grand finals, Eternal Fire and Sangal met again, and thanks to their previous victories, Eternal Fire had a one-map advantage. The players successfully took advantage of mistakes in the enemy’s defense, winning with a noticeable advantage over Sangal on Inferno and Dust2, and on the first of them, the leader of Eternal Fire Ismailkan “XANTARES” Dortkardes achieved a decisive advantage with a rating of 2.03.
The victory in the ESA Supremes Vestel Cup secured Eternal Fire a slot in the TWR European Masters Fall 2021, where it will meet the winners of other local tournaments, in particular with such teams as Entropiq Prague, NOM and AIRLYA. The event will take place in the first half of September, and successful performance there will give the Turkish team a chance to get into the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.
