Fragadelphia tournament will resume in LAN format

Tournament organizer Fragadelphia, in partnership with Nerd Street Games, has announced the return of its flagship event in an offline format: Fragadelphia 15 will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a minimum prize pool of $35,000. Up to 64 teams will be able to compete for them, and as the number of participants grows, the amount of prize money will also increase.

The last time the Fragadelphia tournament, aimed primarily at young and promising e-sportsmen in North America, was held in December 2019. Then it was won by a team consisting of three former Cloud9 players and two more e-sportsmen who later moved to the Chaos project.

Fragadelphia 15 starts on 10 – September 12. In the run-up to the championship, Nerd Street Gamers is organizing several more events in different cities across the United States. The income from their holding will help cover the costs of organizing the tournament, as well as pay for travel for teams that need it. Registration for these local competitions is now open, and the first one will take place in Philadelphia at the end of July.
