Tournament organizers Blast Premier Spring Showdown announced the transfer of matches scheduled for May and June to online. The tournament will be divided into two divisions on a regional basis. From North and South America, it will be attended by MIBR, 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses, as well as seven invited teams. The European top ten will include Astralis, NiP and Vitality. Also included in the number of participants will be four teams that qualified based on the results of the competitions CIS Cup, Elisa Invitational and Iberia Qualifier. Three more slots will be taken by invited participants.
As a result, the order of Blast Premier Finals will also change. In Europe, the winners of the Showdown stage will immediately advance to the final stage, while the remaining teams will compete in group matches. In America, none of the teams playing in Showdown will qualify directly for the final stage. Instead, the top four teams from each group will play qualifying matches to determine the four finalists. Two European and one American teams will advance to the global finals, where a prize of $750 000 will be awarded.
