Canadian e-sportsman Russell “Twistzz” Van Dulken recently gave an interview to the HLTV portal in which he said that in the coming year he expects to return to the top level again. In 2019 Twistzz was one of the most notable eSports players: one of the episodes with his participation was included in the list of the best highlights of the year, and he himself took ninth place in the ranking of the best players. Liquid, for whom he played at the time, was rising to the top of the list of the best teams.
However, 2020 turned out to be a difficult year for her. Liquid managed to win only one competition, and in many other tournaments the team did not even manage to reach the finals. As a result, after the IEM Global Challenge, Russell decided to leave the team. In many ways, he was not happy with the atmosphere in the team: for example, in the middle of the year there were rumors that Twistzz could be replaced by another player, and he was not happy that such decisions were discussed behind the members’ backs. At the same time, the player believes that his time spent in Liquid left him with good memories.
Twistzz also noted that he sees no point in continuing his career in North America. He hopes to join one of the European teams and compete in Europe over the coming years. It is possible that he will soon reach an agreement with FaZe.
