ESL honored the memory of a famous German cyber athlete

On June 28, ESL released a video dedicated to the memory of German player Antonio "cyx" Daniloski, who tragically died exactly ten years ago. In addition, the tournament organizer launched a campaign on GoFund.me, calling for money to be raised to help the player's mother and maintain his tombstone in proper condition.

In 2010, Antonio Daniloski was one of the most famous German eSports players. At that time, he was already in his third year with the mousesports team and made a significant contribution to its major victories at the international level, including participation in the IEM II World Championship, IEM III Global Challenge Dubai and IEM IV European Championship. Together with mousesports, he planned to play at the IEM V Global Challenge, but missed the plane to Shanghai, where the competition was taking place, and got into a car accident while returning home from the airport.

In a memorable video, which includes old mousesports recordings, Fatih "gob b" Dayik, one of Antonio's teammates, talks about the impression the player made on the other participants. He had a big impact on the development of the German esports scene, and his loss was a big blow for the team. Today Antonio "cyx" Daniloski would have turned thirty years old.
