On Saturday, both participants in the grand final of the V4 Future Sports Festival, currently taking place in Budapest, were determined. After the last playoff matches were played, they became two Russian teams – Gambit and Entropiq. On Sunday evening they will play a best-of-5 match to determine who will win first place and 150,000 euros in prize money.
On the way to the final, Entropiq eliminated Movistar Riders from the tournament, and then defeated the Bulgarian Fiend on two maps. On Mirage, which Fiend herself chose, the fight was almost equal, and Entropiq retained the map with only a relatively small advantage (16 - 12). At Ancient, the Russian team demonstrated that they can make their advantage over their opponents much more significant. Thanks to the successful actions of Alexey "Nickelback" Trofimova Entropiq left no chance for the enemy in the first half of the map, finishing it with a score of 16 – 5.
Gambit had a chance to play in the playoff matches against Enterprise (Slovakia) and BIG (Germany). Gambit currently ranks third in the world rankings, and Entropiq – twelfth. How significant the difference in level between the teams actually will be will be shown by the final match.
