After an unsuccessful start to the year, OG decided to rebuild the roster. In the middle of the week, the organization announced that Valdemar "valde" would leave the active roster. Björn-Vangsa. After Nemanja “nexa” became the new in-game leader of OG Isakovich, the team performed successfully at BLAST Premier Spring Groups, but after that it failed to make significant progress. She finished IEM Katowice in last place, and then failed to qualify for PGL Major Antwerp.
In a statement published on the OG website, Valde notes that over time, his vision of how the team should develop diverged from the vision of management: “After a very unsuccessful RMR, we had many discussions and agreed that our paths should diverge. Therefore, we decided that I would leave my position and concentrate on finding a new team where I could realize my ambitions."
Interestingly, in 2022, Valde ranked second in the team in terms of average performance, second only to mantuu. However, the difference in approaches apparently turned out to be more significant for the management of OG: in a recent interview, Valde explained that the organization wants to rebuild the roster by inviting young players, and he himself did not agree with this idea.
