European Apeks, which is currently ranked in the top 50 in the world rankings, announced that Norwegian eSports player Halvor "vENdetta" Gulestol will take the place of analyst in the organization. Previously, he served as head coach at the Swedish Dignitas.
One of the Apeks executives, Andres Kjaer, noted that vENdetta is joining the team for a couple of months to share experience and help players reach the next level: “Currently, the arrangement is limited to a few months so that both parties can see if something will work out for them in the long term.”
VENdetta began his career in CS: Source, then moved to CS: GO, and in recent years has taken up coaching. He worked with Dignitas for more than a year, first as an analyst and then as a head coach. However, in the end, the team failed to achieve the planned goals, and Faruk “Pita” took the place of Dignitas. Pete.
Apeks is currently participating in the closed qualifying stage of the EU Champions Spring, the results of which determine whether the team will be able to qualify for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. In recent months, the team has performed with varying success: in particular, it was able to rise to second place in Pinnacle Winter Series 1, but in the next part of the same tournament it ended up in only 14-15 positions.
