The French team Vitality announced that it will stop working with one of its players named Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom. This decision was made after Valve updated the tournament rules to include point penalties for teams that use substitute players during RMR matches. Team management commented on the announcement as follows: “Unfortunately, following the recent announcement, questions have been raised about the use of a six-man roster, and we are uncertain about the future of this format. Therefore, for now we are returning to the usual structure of the roster of five players.
At the same time, the French team did not rule out that they would return to cooperation with Nivera in the future if the rules for the expanded roster change. During his participation in Vitality, the player showed good potential, so his return in the future – one of the possible scenarios. In its statement, Vitality emphasized that it believes using a six-person roster is the best way to contribute to the development of the professional CS: GO scene.
Nivera moved to Vitality from Heretics in October 2020. Initially, he was considered as a replacement player, but largely thanks to his actions, the team was able to successfully perform at IEM Beijing-Haidian and BLAST Premier Fall Finals.
