Virtus.pro has recruited a new youth squad

Russian team Virtus.pro has announced the addition of five new players to its youth roster VP.Prodigy. In January, the project was put on pause due to the fact that it was not showing very good results. The team leader will be former SG.pro member Alexey “RuFire” Burakov. In a text published on the Virtus.pro website, he highly praised the prospects of the new lineup. RuFire noted that they wanted not only to select players with good skills, but also to find those who would not conflict and would be able to get along well with each other. There is good communication between the players of the current squad, and they understand what the main goals of the team are.

Virtus.pro created a team for young players in September 2020. Then it included three Russian and two Ukrainian cybersportsmen, and Vadim “h1glaiN” became its leader. Tanasyuk. With this lineup, she performed at several international competitions, but later this lineup was disbanded, and the team coach Vyacheslav “Flash_1” Bykov was tasked with gathering new players.

Team manager Mikhail Artemyev noted that the creation of a youth roster – this is always a certain risk, since it is not enough just to find talented and enthusiastic players – it is necessary to select those who can interact well with other team members and will feel the game. He hopes that participation in VP.Prodigy will help players who are just starting their professional careers reach the next level.
