Each CS: GO update becomes a subject of interest not only for ordinary players, but also for data miners – those who study the game system files in detail in search of hidden information. In the files of the patch released on June 10, elements were found that confirm rumors that a new mode will soon appear in the game. They concern the Mirage and Inferno cards.
In particular, several files with the word “retake” were discovered. in the title. Other maps have used similar elements to reduce their area when playing in Wingman mode. On Mirage and Inferno, these elements are disabled by default and cannot be used during game events. However, in the future they may become part of the game in a new mode – Retake, which focuses on the game after planting the bomb. Previously, it was available only on unofficial servers and was used, in particular, for players to practice their actions in the second half of the match. Adding Retake as an official mode will eliminate the need for players to find private servers for training.
Additionally, 1 x 1 play areas have been discovered on Mirage outside of the main map. This could mean that a two-player warm-up area, like the ones recently added to Vertigo and Nuke, is coming soon.
