Wisla Krakow secured a place at IEM Katowice 2022

On Tuesday, Wisla Krakow won the ESL Polish Championship Autumn, thus guaranteeing itself a place in the Play-in tournament of IEM Katowice 2022. Four teams made it to the final stage of the Polish ESL Championship: two that took the top positions at the end of the season (HONORIS and Anonymo), and two more from the top 8 that qualified in the preliminary stage of the competition (Wisla Krakow and PACT).

The finals of the ESL Polish Championship Autumn were held on LAN in a single-elimination format. Wisla Krakow first defeated Anonymo, and then met HONORIS in the grand final, which it won on three maps. The two best players of the tournament were also members of Wisla Krakow. Krzyszek "Goofy" Gorski and Grzegorz "jedqr" Yedras topped the list of the most successful esports athletes, with the second of them demonstrating an impressive rating of 1.30.

Thus, for Wisla Krakow, participation in IEM Katowice will begin in February 2022. She will have to fight for access to the main part of the tournament with such teams as TYLOO, Renegades and Extra Salt. Wisla Krakow's result also secured its place in the upcoming ESL Pro League Conference tournament. To date, the list of its participants has been determined almost completely with the exception of the last four slots.
