Midweek, Heroic announced that Swedish esports player Richard "Xizt" Landström will join the team as an analyst. In addition, he will take on coaching duties during the PGL Major Stockholm.
In September, the now thirty-year-old eSports player announced his retirement from professional eSports after a twelve-year career during which he played for fnatic, Dignitas, FaZe, as well as the legendary NIP lineup that dominated the international scene in the early stages of CS:GO.
Xizt has served as an in-game leader for most of his career, allowing him to gain a wealth of experience that he will now be able to use as he prepares for Heroic. Commenting on the collaboration with Xizt, Kasper “cadiaN” Möller noted that so far both sides do not have long-term plans: “For now, we are taking a closer look at each other, let’s see if there is a language barrier, if we have the same philosophy, style of play. Of course, we cooperate with him, counting on continuing in the future, and we want to strengthen this connection."
Heroic will play their first match at PGL Major Stockholm, which starts on October 26, against the Chinese TYLOO, who is currently ranked 64th in the world rankings.
