XSET has signed the Originem women's team

The American esports organization XSET has signed the Originem roster – one of the most successful women's teams in CS:GO. The team plans to move to the United States in early 2021. Originem had remained without an organization for the previous year after it split from Besiktas in early 2020. Despite this, the team retained its composition – At first she performed under the tag WRTP, and since June 2020 she renamed herself Originem. She proved herself to be very successful, taking first places in three women's championships – Ambush Invitational, DreamHack Showdown Summer and Galaxy Racer Invitational.

As part of XSET, the team hopes to take the next step and begin to participate in competitions on an equal basis with men's teams. One of the participants, Russian Anastasia “kr4sylya” Khlobystina noted that she expects that in the near future Originem will be able to show good results in men's competitions – if not on par with the tops, then at the level of teams of the second or third rank. Previously, the team tried to compete at DreamHack Open Rotterdam, but was not very successful. However, players believe that they need more practice against serious opponents and more opportunities to prove themselves.

Originem's first performance as part of XSET will be participation in DreamHack Open December.
