Virtus.pro announced the transfer to inactivity of Marek "YEKINDAR" Galinskis and Timur "buster" Tulepov, as well as his readiness to consider proposals for the transfer of these players. This decision did not come as a surprise, since the team had not shown the best results in recent months.
This is largely due to the political situation caused by the conflict in Ukraine. In particular, YEKINDAR has previously spoken out about the difficulties and pressure he faced due to the fact that, as an eSports player from Latvia, he played for a team that is considered associated with the Russian state. Virtus.pro general manager Sergei Glamazda also mentioned this in a recent interview. In addition, at recent events the team had to perform under the name Outsiders due to sanctions-related restrictions.
Regarding buster's departure from the active roster, a comment posted on the team's official website mentions that "he needs new challenges while we need fresh ideas for the game."
It remains unclear who will replace these two players. However, new announcements should be expected in the near future, since the same announcement indicates that the team has already made a decision on what the roster will be like in the near future.
