The fight for first place in it was very stubborn, since the leading cybersportsmen were almost equal in strength. At the top was Mathieu "ZywOo" Erbo from Team Vitality, and the following positions in the top 3 were taken by Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev and Nikolai “device” Ridtz. ZyWoo receives the honorary title for the second time in a row.
In his tweet on the occasion of this achievement, he thanked viewers, fans, representatives of the esports organization and teammates for their support. The player noted that although 2020 was difficult for everyone, he is glad that he had the opportunity to continue performing and participating in competitions. The team managed to adapt to the new conditions and finally started winning tournaments.
S1mple, commenting on his second place, emphasized that his priority always remains team success, not personal achievements. He believes that in 2020 they did not achieve enough major victories to become leaders in the rankings. Last year, Alexander Kostylev also managed to rise to second place in the list of the best players in the world. S1mple hopes that LAN tournaments will be possible again in 2021 and the team will continue to develop successfully, increasing the level achieved in 2020.
