The ★ Shadow Daggers | Black Laminate in Field-Tested (FT) are a pair of push daggers in CS2 with rough dark blades and frames in gray-and-white stripes. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. A pair in this finish can be opened from the Operation Riptide Case and from the Dreams & Nightmares Case. The float scale of the finish is full, from 0.00 to 1.00, and Field-Tested takes the span 0.15 to 0.38.
What the ★ Shadow Daggers | Black Laminate look like in Field-Tested
The blades are dark gray with a rough surface, as if abraded: Valve writes stonewashed. At the base of each blade lie light curved bands of layered material. The frame handles are built from the same layers, with gray and white wavy stripes alternating with dark ones.
In Field-Tested the pair shows wear at the points of the blades and along the ribs of the frames. Wear is fixed at drop, and the pair stays as it fell.
Where the ★ Shadow Daggers | Black Laminate came from
Black Laminate arrived together with Operation Riptide: the case of that operation came out on September 22, 2021. The finish is also in the Dreams & Nightmares Case, which Valve released on January 21, 2022.
What to check before buying
Choosing a particular ★ Shadow Daggers | Black Laminate rests on these points:
- the wear in the listing name: the five wears of the finish are separate items;
- applied name: a name tag is allowed on the daggers, but they have no place for stickers;
- version: a pair with StatTrak is a separate item.
The artwork is one for every copy, so there is no particular one to hunt for. The span 0.15 to 0.38 is long, and the copies at its extremes differ noticeably.
What the ★ Shadow Daggers | Black Laminate cost in Field-Tested
Of the five wears, Field-Tested is almost the cheapest: only Well-Worn is below it, by three percent. Factory New costs 1.6 times as much, while Minimal Wear and Battle-Scarred cost five percent more each.
Black Laminate is the cheapest shadow daggers finish in this wear. Boreal Forest costs the same, and the other sixteen finishes cost more. Safari Mesh is seven percent higher, Urban Masked eight, Bright Water nine. Damascus Steel and Freehand are 11 percent higher, Night 12, Ultraviolet and Autotronic 14.
From there the lineup climbs more steeply. Scorched costs a quarter more, Lore 30 percent, Forest DDPAT 31, Blue Steel and Stained 42. Crimson Web is 1.6 times higher, Case Hardened a little over twice, and Slaughter 2.6 times.
Getting the ★ Shadow Daggers | Black Laminate
