Description

Factory New (FN) on the ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono is the most expensive Specialist Gloves finish in CS2. Rarely for gloves, a good pattern genuinely costs more here. The rank is Extraordinary, with the ★. The pair drops from the Glove Case and the Operation Hydra Case. The scale starts at 0.06, so a zero float does not occur.

What the ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono look like in Factory New

The pair is black with dark gray overlays, and the one color in it is scarlet. A red field in fine houndstooth takes the back of the hand from wrist to knuckles. Black raised overlays lie below on knuckles and finger bases, a red backing beneath, the stitching red too. The palm side is black and gray: TORQUE is embossed on the wrist pad, gray anti-slip segments cover the palm.

In Factory New the scarlet holds full saturation and the pattern reads across the whole insert, even on the CS2 model. Further down the scale the knuckle red dulls first and the pattern silts up with gray, and the black overlay edges go shiny. The top grade is bought for a clean insert, not for the black base.

Where the ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono came from

The finish has no Steam Workshop author: Valve drew it, and the catalog number is 10033. The release was November 28, 2016, with the Glove Case Skins update that brought the glove class into CS:GO. The Operation Hydra Case followed in 2017.

Phase and pattern

The pattern spread here is large and plainly visible: the index changes the layout of the red geometric design on the upper side. The copies that cost most carry the most red on both gloves, and pairs red only on the right are valued too. The pattern guide keeps a rare-pattern block for the finish and puts seeds 458, 515, 559, 560 and 684 in its first tier, while another guide works with five tiers. A note of July 17, 2023 brought glove pattern and wear back in line with CS:GO.

What to check before buying

On a listing, this counts:

  • the layout of the red on top, the main difference between listings and worth a premium;

  • how much red the left glove has, since right-only pairs sell below the best layouts;

  • the float, which lies between 0.06 and 0.07 with the same look across the band.

What the ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono cost in Factory New

The grade is a tight 0.06–0.07 band where listings are hard to tell apart. What separates them is the pattern layout, not the float.

Minimal Wear is almost four times cheaper. Field-Tested is nearly six times under, Well-Worn (WW) a little below that, and Battle-Scarred (BS) eight times under Factory New.

Of eighteen Specialist Gloves finishes priced here, this is the most expensive. The nearest neighbors, Pillow Punchers and Emerald Web, are about a third and almost half cheaper. The cheap end of the rank, Buckshot, trails by tens of times.

Getting the ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono

The pair comes from the Glove Case and the Operation Hydra Case. The other route is a trade-up contract: five Covert skins of one collection return a random rare special item with a random layout.

Who this wear suits

Factory New is worth buying when:

  • a clean pattern is required, since worn grades clog the knuckle houndstooth with gray;

  • the loadout is black and red, and the gloves supply its scarlet accent;

  • the listing is picked for a layout with red on both gloves, not just on price.
