AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge, Battle-Scarred (BS): a Covert AK-47 from The Falchion Collection in its most worn version. This wear of the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge has a float of 0.45 to 1.00, which is more than half of the finish's scale. It is the most affordable of the skin's five wears.
What the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge looks like in Battle-Scarred
The body is dark: the underside of the handguard, the grip, the stock and the magazine are graphite. Mint green, the aquamarine of the name, is painted on the top of the handguard, the front sight, the gas block and the receiver. On the receiver, light blue digital-camo patches and red-orange shapes join it. Valve describes the pattern as a pod of dolphins. A thin red line runs under the barrel.
In Battle-Scarred the mint paint wears down to bare metal along the edges of the receiver and handguard, and the red-orange artwork on the receiver loses its wholeness. The 0.45 to 1.00 band leaves room to choose: closer to 0.45 the copies are cleaner.
Where the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge came from
The finish is by PoignantEnvy. He put the work into the Steam Workshop on March 12, 2015, when it was still called "AK47 | Aquamarine Revenge (previously Courage Alt)". In the description he wrote that he had tried different colors and liked this combination.
The AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge came out on May 26, 2015, when The Falchion Collection was added to the game. In the Valve catalog the finish carries number 474.
What to check before buying
Before buying an AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge, check these things:
- the float: the closer to 0.45, the more mint paint is left on the receiver and handguard;
- how whole the red-orange artwork on the receiver is;
- any name tag or stickers already on the rifle, since they stay on the listing.
The pattern of the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge repeats from listing to listing without changes.
What the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge costs in Battle-Scarred
The remaining wears, relative to this one:
- Factory New: more than five and a half times as much;
- Minimal Wear: about twice as much;
- Field-Tested: almost a third more;
- Well-Worn: about an eighth more.
The price falls gently on the way down: from Field-Tested to Battle-Scarred the difference is smaller than from Minimal Wear to Field-Tested. The sharp jump comes only upward, to Factory New.
Among Covert AK-47 skins in this wear, this one is third from the bottom. Only AK-47 | Aphrodite is cheaper, by almost a factor of three, and AK-47 | Head Shot, by a few percent. AK-47 | The Oligarch and AK-47 | Inheritance cost the same, and AK-47 | Legion of Anubis and AK-47 | Asiimov sit higher.
Getting the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge
The skin drops from the Falchion Case, and no other case holds it.
The second route to an AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge is a trade-up: hand in ten skins one rank lower from the same collection. There are two Covert skins in the collection, so the odds are one in two. The Covert rank also leads into a knife craft: in the Falchion Case the rare special item is the Falchion Knife.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge exists. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish: they were made only for the tournament map collections. But a souvenir copy can be built by hand, because the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory. That is why a single souvenir copy occasionally turns up even where no packages ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge
The dark stock, grip and magazine make a clean background, and light, bright stickers read there at once. Green and turquoise ones get lost in the mint paint, and red and orange ones inside the artwork on the receiver. For a CS2 craft it is better to leave the receiver itself open, since it carries the main part of this finish.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred is a reasonable buy for the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge when:
- you want a Covert AK-47 for CS2 from the lower end of the rank;
- a worn look is fine and you do not need to pay for clean mint;
- the craft calls for a dark base on the stock and magazine.
If the mint paint must stay whole, look at Minimal Wear: it costs twice as much.
