This is the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge in Factory New (FN), the most expensive of the skin's five wears. Covert rank, The Falchion Collection. The paint is intact on every part, with no scuffs anywhere on the body.
What the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge looks like in Factory New
The base is dark graphite: the stock, grip, magazine and lower half of the handguard. The top of the handguard, the gas block and the front sight are painted an aquamarine-toned mint green. The main artwork sits on the receiver: red-orange swirls with light blue flecks, which Valve calls a pod of dolphins. A thin red stripe runs the length of the barrel.
In Factory New the mint parts are solid, the edges do not glint with bare metal, and the red-orange artwork reads whole. How worn a particular copy is gets decided when it drops, and it never changes afterward.
Where the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge came from
The author is PoignantEnvy. He posted the work to the Steam Workshop under the title "AK47 | Aquamarine Revenge (previously Courage Alt)", and the submission is dated March 12, 2015. In the game, The Falchion Collection opened on May 26, 2015, and the skin was there from the first day.
What to check before buying
Two items go on the list before you take an AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge:
- a float inside the band from 0.00 to 0.07;
- the stickers and name tag that the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge inherited from a previous owner.
This wear occupies the band from 0.00 to 0.07, which is seven percent of the scale. Buying here can be done almost blind, since that band is tight. No second artwork of this skin exists.
What the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge costs in Factory New
The other wears, measured from the top:
- Minimal Wear is almost three times cheaper;
- Field-Tested is more than four times cheaper;
- Well-Worn is more than five times cheaper;
- Battle-Scarred is almost six times cheaper.
The steepest drop is the first step: between Factory New and Minimal Wear the price falls harder than between any two neighboring wears below.
Among Covert AK-47s, the skin in this wear is sixth from the bottom. Closest below is AK-47 | Bloodsport, cheaper by about a tenth. Further down come AK-47 | Nightwish, AK-47 | Head Shot and AK-47 | Legion of Anubis, the last of them cheaper by almost three and a half times. Above stand AK-47 | Neon Rider, AK-47 | Neon Revolution, AK-47 | The Empress and AK-47 | The Oligarch. At the summit are AK-47 | Gold Arabesque, AK-47 | Fire Serpent and AK-47 | Wild Lotus.
Getting the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge
The skin drops from the Falchion Case. Valve's note says that every such case gives a chance at one of sixteen community-made skins and at the Falchion Knife.
Besides the case, there is a trade-up of ten skins from the rank below, all from the same set. The collection has two Covert skins, so the odds of landing on this rifle are one in two.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge has a StatTrak version. No souvenir drop was ever set up for it, since souvenir packages covered only the tournament map collections. If you want a souvenir anyway, build one yourself: Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player's autograph to a regular skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge
On an intact body, stickers show without any interference from scuffs. The dark stock and magazine give the most even field: white, yellow and red stickers read there at once. The mint top of the handguard and the red artwork on the receiver are better left uncovered, because the skin rests on them.
Who this wear suits
Factory New is a sensible buy for the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge if:
- you want untouched mint paint and a complete red artwork on the receiver;
- the skin is going into a collection or a craft where cleanliness counts;
- a premium of almost three times over Minimal Wear does not put you off.
For shooting in CS2 the wear changes nothing: it affects only the look.
