The AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge in Well-Worn (WW) is a Covert rifle from The Falchion Collection with visible wear that has not yet reached the limit. In this wear it sells at a price more than four times below that of Factory New.
What the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge looks like in Well-Worn
The base is graphite: the stock, grip, magazine and lower part of the handguard are dark. The top of the handguard, the gas block and the front sight are mint green, and the red-orange artwork with light blue flecks fills the receiver. A thin red line runs along the barrel.
Scuffs show at first glance in Well-Worn. Along the edges of the handguard and receiver the mint is rubbed back to metal, and the red-orange swirls soften and lose their crispness. The artwork still reads, and the wear on a copy was fixed when it dropped and does not grow afterward.
Where the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge came from
In the Steam Workshop, PoignantEnvy's submission was titled "AK47 | Aquamarine Revenge (previously Courage Alt)": the skin once had a different working name, Courage Alt. The Falchion Collection with this skin came out on May 26, 2015, and the skin arrived in that same update.
What to check before buying
Two points to weigh in a Well-Worn listing:
- a float inside the stretch from 0.38 to 0.45;
- the name tag and stickers this AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge already carries.
In this wear the float band runs from 0.38 to 0.45. It is a tight band, where the difference between listings is hard to catch. Pattern index changes nothing on this rifle.
What the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge costs in Well-Worn
Measured against Well-Worn, the other wears stand as follows:
- Factory New is dearer by more than five times;
- Minimal Wear is dearer by almost twice;
- Field-Tested is dearer by about a quarter;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a tenth.
The gap to Battle-Scarred is small, but to Field-Tested it is noticeable: that is where the surcharge for sounder paint begins.
Among Covert AK-47s in this wear, the skin is third from the bottom. Only AK-47 | Aphrodite is cheaper, by a factor of three, and AK-47 | Head Shot, by about a twentieth. AK-47 | Legion of Anubis and AK-47 | The Oligarch cost just a little more, AK-47 | Inheritance about three tenths more, and AK-47 | Asiimov two fifths more. Holding the upper end of the row are AK-47 | Fire Serpent, AK-47 | Gold Arabesque and AK-47 | Wild Lotus.
Getting the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge
The Falchion Case yields the skin. A contract for the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge consists of ten skins one rank lower from a single collection. One step up sits the Falchion Knife, the rare special item of this collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is a StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge, but never a souvenir package: tournament map collections were the only ones that got them. Souvenir-O-Matic fills the gap, adding gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to any ordinary skin in the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge
Scuffed metal along the handguard edges fights with stickers, so they work best on the dark flats: the stock and the magazine. Bright stickers there pull attention away from the wear and make the weapon look neater. The receiver with the red artwork stays out of the craft: it remains the main accent.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn is a reasonable buy for the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge if:
- you want a Covert AK-47 from the lower third of the rank by price;
- wear on the mint paint is fine with you, and the red artwork is still in place;
- scuffing suits your taste as part of the look, and paying for cleanliness seems pointless.
For CS2 the wear makes no difference: it does not affect shooting.
