The AK-47 | Elite Build in Factory New (FN) is a black AK with thin golden trim, and at this wear the trim is still whole. The wear band runs from 0.00 to 0.07, which is 7% of the skin's float scale; that scale goes up to 1.00. The skin is Mil-Spec, and the Chroma 2 Case is where it drops.
What the AK-47 | Elite Build looks like in Factory New
Dark gray patches mark the top cover of a graphite-black body. A golden-orange trim runs along the edges of the handguard, the receiver sides and the stock. Gold is also used for the winged emblem on the gas tube, the "AK" logo on the side and the fine lines of text; on the black-and-olive magazine, an orange inscription reads "MASTER SERIES 7.62x39". The barrel, gas block and front sight stay dark metal.
The artwork sits right on the edges, and in Factory New all of it is there: the gold along the borders is not rubbed off and the lettering reads. The 0.00 to 0.07 band is so narrow that choosing by float has no point.
Where the AK-47 | Elite Build came from
M1nD, a Steam Workshop artist, is behind this skin. The Workshop entry was titled "AK47 - MASTERY (Elite Build)" and went up on January 2, 2015. The in-game release came on April 15, 2015, alongside the Chroma 2 Case.
What to check before buying
Before paying for the AK-47 | Elite Build, run through these points:
- float within 0.00 to 0.07: at this clean wear that is enough to keep the gold whole;
- any name tag and stickers, which stay on the listing with the rifle;
- version: regular or StatTrak.
Every copy of the AK-47 | Elite Build carries the same print.
What the AK-47 | Elite Build costs in Factory New
This is the priciest wear of the skin. Minimal Wear costs 2.3 times less, Field-Tested four times less, and Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred nearly five times less.
Among the Mil-Spec AK-47 skins priced in this wear, this one comes fourth of seven. The AK-47 | Steel Delta is a few percent above it. The AK-47 | Crossfade and the AK-47 | Wintergreen cost half as much, and the AK-47 | Uncharted a quarter as much. The AK-47 | Green Laminate costs nearly six times as much.
Getting the AK-47 | Elite Build
The skin drops from the Chroma 2 Case, and the key is bought separately. No other case holds this skin.
A trade-up contract cannot produce the rifle, because Mil-Spec is the lowest rank in the case's collection. As an input it works well: ten Mil-Spec skins from the set return one Restricted skin, for example the AWP | Worm God.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AK-47 | Elite Build is also made with StatTrak. Souvenir copies of the skin exist too, but no Souvenir package was ever released for it: those were made only for the map tournament collections. The Souvenir-O-Matic builds such a copy: it fits gold tournament stickers and a player autograph onto a regular skin that you already own.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Elite Build
A black body takes any color except black. Gold and orange stickers pick up the trim, while white and light blue ones give the most contrast. The clean wear is a fitting base for expensive builds: nothing on it competes with the edges or the stickers.
Who this wear suits
Factory New is a reasonable choice for the AK-47 | Elite Build when you:
- want an AK for CS2 with the golden trim untouched;
- are putting together a craft with expensive stickers on a clean base;
- are fine paying roughly five times the price of the lower wears for the way it looks.
