The AK-47 | Fuel Injector in Factory New (FN) keeps its fine white print on the gas tube intact, the detail that goes first in every other wear. The float band for this wear runs from 0.00 to 0.07. It is Covert rank, and the rifle drops from the Operation Wildfire Case.

What the AK-47 | Fuel Injector looks like in Factory New

Half of the body is dark on purpose: the stock is nearly black, the magazine is black with a tire-tread ribbing, and the receiver cover is dark too. Against that background the orange-amber gloss works, covering the receiver sides, the forend, the grip and the front of the magazine.

The gas tube and the top of the barrel stand apart from both halves: the metal is pale gray-blue, with small white markings too fine to read. Over the orange on the receiver side sits a red and white logo in several lines.

In Factory New the gloss is even across the whole panel, and the edges of the receiver and forend are untouched. The white print on the gas tube is whole: it sits on a narrow, rounded part, and thin lines leave it first. That print and those edges are what the extra money buys here, since the flat sides of the receiver are intact in the lower wears too.

Where the AK-47 | Fuel Injector came from

The finish's author goes by emu and posted the submission to the Steam Workshop on November 15, 2015, as "AK47 | Supercharged". The skin received its name at release. The AK-47 | Fuel Injector entered the game on February 17, 2016, and in Valve's skin catalog it is number 524. Alongside the same operation Valve published a post on the new lighting and shaders that arrived with the reworked Nuke. The author did not abandon the work after release: in the submission's description he noted normal-map support and a repacked texture.

What to check before buying

When choosing a listing of the AK-47 | Fuel Injector, these matter:

The main source is the Operation Wildfire Case, and the finish has no other. For the AK-47 | Fuel Injector, a trade-up takes ten skins of the next rank down from the same set. Wildfire has two Covert items, so the chance is one in two.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Fuel Injector

The AK-47 | Fuel Injector has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish turn up as well, though no Souvenir packages were ever made for it: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.

The racing theme is built into the finish, and car stickers settle onto the gloss without a fight. White and black read best, while red sinks into the logo. The dark stock is free, but a craft there looks like an insert.

Who this wear suits

Factory New is worth it for the AK-47 | Fuel Injector for three things:

• intact fine print on the gas tube;


• even gloss on the panel edges;


• a clean base for a craft, since a sticker will not land on worn metal.

For CS2 matches the premium is questionable: the orange flats can be seen from any distance, while the print and edges are examined in the inventory.
