AK-47 | Panthera onca (Factory New)

Factory New (FN) is the untouched state of the AK-47 | Panthera onca, the AK with a jaguar on the receiver: camouflage and wood carving without a single scuff. Classified rank, The Ancient Collection. The finish has no regular case, and copies come from tournament souvenir packages.

What the AK-47 | Panthera onca looks like in Factory New

Gold-and-sand camouflage with olive-green blotches covers the metal, while the wooden parts stay dark brown, with a reddish cast and a carved ornament. Fine carving decorates the stock and handguard. The barrel is black, and the magazine matches the camouflage.

The main accent of the finish is the jaguar on the receiver: a yellow cat with dark spots. Valve writes that the carving on the wood often steals attention from the jaguar.

In Factory New the camouflage lies even, and the wood keeps its depth of color. The float here runs from 0.00 to 0.07, a tight band, and the lots at either end differ only by the number.

What to check before buying

Buyers look at these points before taking the AK-47 | Panthera onca:

• float: at the low end wear is nil, at the top barely noticeable;

• listing type: souvenir copies with gold team stickers are sold separately from regular ones;

• whatever stickers or name tag an earlier owner left on the rifle.

There is no "rare" pattern to buy on the AK-47 | Panthera onca, because every copy carries the same artwork.

What the AK-47 | Panthera onca costs in Factory New

Set beside Factory New, the other wears come out like this:

• Minimal Wear is about 1.3 times cheaper;

• Field-Tested costs almost half as much;

• Well-Worn is about 2.4 times cheaper;

• Battle-Scarred is 2.5 times cheaper.

Factory New takes up 0.07 of the 1.00 float scale. The first step down is small, and most of the price loss comes at the move from Minimal Wear to Field-Tested.
