The Factory New (FN) AK-47 | VariCamo Grey is a gray-olive camo rifle for CS2 with the paint intact on every edge. It is the dearest of the skin's five wears. The rank is Industrial Grade, the collection is The Boreal Collection, and the skin has no case.
What the AK-47 | VariCamo Grey looks like in Factory New
The camouflage runs over the handguard, receiver, stock and grip as small patches in three tones, dark gray, olive-gray and pale, with no big shapes. The magazine is lighter than the rest and has lengthwise stripes, and the front sight is olive. In Valve's wording the pattern is a gray VariCamo camouflage.
This wear has a float range of 0.00 to 0.07, which is 10% of a scale that ends at 0.67. Within the band the paint on the edges is untouched, and the wear is fixed at drop and does not change afterward.
Where the AK-47 | VariCamo Grey came from
The Boreal Collection was released in March 2025, and the skin has been in it since launch. Who drew the AK-47 | VariCamo Grey, and whether a Steam Workshop submission was made, the data do not say.
What to check before buying
Two points are worth confirming:
- the float: the value must sit between 0.00 and 0.07, or the listing is not Factory New;
- stickers and a name tag already applied to this copy.
Hunting for an AK-47 | VariCamo Grey by pattern index is pointless, because the artwork does not change. The spread of 0.00 to 0.07 is so small that choosing by float makes no sense.
What the AK-47 | VariCamo Grey costs in Factory New
Factory New is the dearest wear of the skin. The others are cheaper:
- Minimal Wear, by one and a half times;
- Field-Tested, by about one and a half times;
- Well-Worn, by a little over one and a half times;
- Battle-Scarred, by about one and a half times.
The premium for the factory look is clear next to the other wears. Among Industrial Grade AK-47 skins, this one in Factory New costs more than only the AK-47 | Olive Polycam. The AK-47 | Safari Mesh costs sixteen times as much, and the AK-47 | Baroque Purple a hundred and fifty times.
Getting the AK-47 | VariCamo Grey
The AK-47 | VariCamo Grey is in no case. The Boreal Collection is on the weekly reward list, so the skin is handed out for playing time.
A trade-up for it takes ten skins of the rank below from the same set. The P250 | Copper Oxide may be among the inputs. There are nine outcomes, and the chance of this skin is one in nine.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AK-47 | VariCamo Grey never received a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies can be found, but the finish had no Souvenir packages of its own, since those were made only for the tournament map collections. The Souvenir-O-Matic produces such copies by putting gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | VariCamo Grey
A mottled dark background swallows thin and pastel stickers: those with a clear outline stand out, as do red and white ones. Gray and olive stickers get lost among the patches. Untouched paint gives a clean base for a sticker, with no stray scratches.
Who this wear suits
Factory New is the right buy when:
- you want a camo AK for CS2 with untouched paint;
- factory cleanliness matters to you and the price premium is small;
- you are picking a wear-free base for stickers.
