AWP | Phobos (Field-Tested)

The AWP | Phobos in Field-Tested (FT) is a Restricted rifle, playable on both sides in CS2, from The Gamma Collection. The skin drops from the Gamma Case. The finish comes in four wears: Battle-Scarred is missing because the float ceiling here is 0.40.

What the AWP | Phobos looks like in Field-Tested

By Valve's description, the rifle is built from metal panels and tough electronic components.

Field-Tested for the AWP | Phobos is the band between 0.15 and 0.38. Out of the skin's full scale, 0.00 to 0.40, that is 57%. A skin's wear is set once, when it drops.

What to check before buying

Before buying the AWP | Phobos, check the following:

• the float: in this wear the stretch is 0.15 to 0.38, which holds both nearly clean and noticeably scuffed copies;

• the name tag and stickers already applied: they stay with the lot.

The AWP | Phobos has no pattern variants, so there is nothing to choose by pattern.

What the AWP | Phobos costs in Field-Tested

This is the cheapest of the four wears, and the others cost more:

• Factory New costs about 2.8 times as much;

• Well-Worn costs about twice as much;

• Minimal Wear costs about a sixth more.

Of the ten Restricted AWPs with a price in this wear, the skin is second from the bottom. Only AWP | Pit Viper is cheaper, and AWP | PAW is priced almost level with it. The top of the row is AWP | Pink DDPAT.

Getting the AWP | Phobos

The finish has one case, the Gamma Case.

A trade-up into the AWP | Phobos takes ten skins of the rank below from a single collection. The Gamma Collection has five Restricted finishes, so the odds are one in five.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AWP | Phobos has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir sets were issued for this finish, as they existed only for tournament map collections. Still, a Souvenir copy can be made by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from the inventory. Because of that, single Souvenir copies occasionally show up even where no sets ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Phobos

Stickers go on top of the paint, and the finish itself stays as it was. The pattern is the same on every copy, so lots differ by float and by what has already been applied to them.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AWP | Phobos in this particular wear makes sense when:

• you want an AWP for CS2 at the lowest price among the skin's four wears;

• some wear is acceptable and any float from 0.15 to 0.38 will do;

• there is no need to overpay for Factory New, which costs about 2.8 times as much.
