Desert Eagle | Heirloom (Field-Tested)

The Desert Eagle | Heirloom in Field-Tested (FT) is a Restricted Deagle from CS:GO Weapon Case 3, with gold engraving on dark metal. This wear is assigned a float of 0.15 to 0.38, while the finish's whole scale runs from 0.00 to 0.80. The skin's collection is called Arms Deal 3.

What the Desert Eagle | Heirloom looks like in Field-Tested

Valve describes the finish as hand engraving inlaid with a scroll pattern. The slide and frame are dark steel, with a silvery cast toward the muzzle end. Gold scrolls are gathered on the ends of the slide and on the rear part of the casing, and the grip is black.

Field-Tested is the middle of the wear scale, with visible scratches and scuffs on the metal. The degree of wear is written into the float and is fixed when the item drops.

Where the Desert Eagle | Heirloom came from

CS:GO Weapon Case 3 is the third weapon case, and it came out in February 2014. In the update note Valve reports that the case consists entirely of pistol finishes, including some for the new CZ75-Auto. The Heirloom landed in that set.

Its number in Valve's finish catalog is 273.

What to check before buying

Before buying the Desert Eagle | Heirloom, check the following:

• the item type, regular or StatTrak, since they have different pages and prices;

• the name tag and stickers this Desert Eagle | Heirloom already carries.

In this wear the Desert Eagle | Heirloom is a band of 0.15 to 0.38, and listings from the two ends of the stretch look different.

What the Desert Eagle | Heirloom costs in Field-Tested

Against this wear, the others cost:

• Factory New is dearer by almost thirteen times;

• Minimal Wear is priced at about one and a half times this wear;

• Well-Worn is dearer by about a third;

• Battle-Scarred is level.

Field-Tested, together with Battle-Scarred, turns out to be the cheapest wear of the skin.

Of fourteen Restricted Deagles priced in this wear, seven are cheaper than the Heirloom and six are dearer. The nearest one above costs about one and a half times as much. Two finishes below are cheaper by a factor of three to five. The remaining dearer finishes cost an order of magnitude more or higher.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Heirloom

The finish lies in CS:GO Weapon Case 3, and no other case holds it. A trade-up for the Desert Eagle | Heirloom takes ten Mil-Spec skins from one collection. Arms Deal 3 has four Restricted skins, so the odds are one in four.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Desert Eagle | Heirloom has a StatTrak version. No souvenir packages were released for this finish: those were made only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand, though. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up even where no packages ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Heirloom

Dark steel and gold scrolls get along with warm, light stickers: gold and cream ones echo the engraving, and white ones add contrast. Blue and green ones argue with the gold. The calmest surface is the black grip together with the even stretches of the slide that carry no engraving.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Desert Eagle | Heirloom in this wear makes sense if:

• you want a Deagle with gold engraving for CS2 and have no wish to pay the surcharge for Factory New, where the price is almost thirteenfold;

• you need the cheapest wear of the skin, which here is shared with Battle-Scarred;

• you want softer wear than Battle-Scarred at the same price.

For less scuffed metal you would pay one and a half times more for Minimal Wear.
