In Well-Worn (WW) the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive costs almost the same as Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. It is a Covert Deagle from The Operation Riptide Collection, with visibly worn paint.
What the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive looks like in Well-Worn
The skin is built from large slanted planes of violet, orange and mint-turquoise. Fine halftone dots lie over them and give the color a texture. The muzzle and the trigger guard are turquoise, the grip is orange, and the slide is mostly violet.
In Well-Worn the scuffs gather along the edges of the slide, frame and grip, and bare metal shows in places. The planes themselves remain solid, so the skin keeps its recognizable multicolor scheme. A copy's float is set at the drop.
What to check before buying
Two things are worth a look before payment:
- float within the 0.38–0.45 stretch;
- applied name and stickers, which transfer together with the listing.
The float scale of this wear lies between 0.38 and 0.45, and within it there is no best copy to pick out. The artwork is identical on every copy, so no special one needs searching for.
What the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive costs in Well-Worn
The other wears, relative to this one:
- Factory New: dearer by more than three times;
- Minimal Wear costs about a seventh more;
- Field-Tested is level, with a gap of under three percent;
- Battle-Scarred costs the same, again within three percent.
Below Well-Worn the price no longer falls: Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred match it. Paying extra for looks starts only at Minimal Wear.
Of the three Covert Desert Eagles in this wear, this skin is the most expensive. The nearest, Code Red, is cheaper by a third, and Printstream by almost two-fifths.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive
Besides the Operation Riptide Case, there is a trade-up: ten skins one rank lower from this collection give the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive. The Operation Riptide Collection came out on September 22, 2021, and the skin has been listed in it from day one.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive has a StatTrak version. Souvenir packages for this finish were never made, because they existed only for tournament map collections. You can still build a souvenir copy yourself in the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive
The motley body accepts almost any sticker, but contrasting ones win: white, black and bright yellow. Keep them on the orange grip, where the paint is denser and more even than at the edges of the slide.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn is the sensible wear of the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive when:
- you want a bright Covert Deagle without paying extra for clean paint;
- Battle-Scarred and Field-Tested cost the same, so it matters more that the copy looks good to you;
- scuffed edges don't bother you.
In CS2 wear is irrelevant to play: it changes only the look.
