Factory New (FN) is the cleanest wear of the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐, a Restricted Desert Eagle in red metal with tiers of waves. Its float here runs from 0.00 to 0.07, while the skin's ceiling is 0.75. The skin belongs to The Rising Sun Collection and suits both sides.
What the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 looks like in Factory New
A glossy, metallic dark red forms the ground. Over it, tiers of waves are drawn in light copper with close hatching, and swirls of cloud show on the front of the slide. Valve describes the work as a hydrographic of a stormy sea over a red metal base.
A figure with a face emerges on the grip, styled after a Japanese print. The character 弐 in the name is what separates the skin from the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 壱, since the artwork differs between the two. In Factory New the hatching of the waves is intact right up to the edges of the slide and the trigger guard, and the red metal keeps its gloss.
What to check before buying
On the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 it is worth comparing a few points:
- the character in the name: this skin carries 弐, not 壱;
- float: the scale gives this wear only 0.00 to 0.07, so copies look alike;
- any stickers and a name tag the previous owner left on the skin.
What the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 costs in Factory New
Factory New turns out to be the cheapest wear of this skin. All the others cost more:
- Minimal Wear, by about 1.24 times;
- Field-Tested, by a few percent;
- Well-Worn, by about an eighth;
- Battle-Scarred, by about a twelfth.
So the skin carries no surcharge for a clean body: Factory New takes up just 9% of the scale, but the price does not climb because of it.
Of fifteen Restricted Desert Eagles, this one is second by price in Factory New. Only the Desert Eagle | Blaze costs more, by a little over a quarter. Just below come the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 壱, Desert Eagle | Emerald Jörmungandr and Desert Eagle | Hand Cannon. The Desert Eagle | Pilot is almost three times cheaper.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐
The skin does not drop from cases. A trade-up for it takes ten skins one rank down from this collection. The Rising Sun Collection holds four Restricted skins, so the chance is one in four. The skin itself can go in as an input to a contract for the AK-47 | Hydroponic.
It entered the game on May 28, 2015.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is no StatTrak version of the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐. Souvenir packages were never made for this finish either, because they existed only for the tournament map collections. A Souvenir copy can still be put together by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐
Light, cool stickers stand out on the red gloss: white, silver and light blue. Red and orange ones blend into the copper waves. Small stickers get lost in the hatching, while large ones stay readable. For a CS2 craft, the flat areas on the slide and beside the trigger guard work well.
Who this wear suits
Factory New is worth buying for the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 if:
- you want a red Desert Eagle with clean gloss and the full wave pattern;
- you do not want to overpay for condition, since the other wears cost more;
- you need a dark red background for stickers in CS2.
