The Factory New (FN) Dual Berettas | Melondrama is a pair of dark blue Berettas with a snarling watermelon, the paint untouched on every edge. It is a Classified skin from the Dreams & Nightmares Collection, usable on either side. In CS2 these duals can be spotted from a distance.
What the Dual Berettas | Melondrama looks like in Factory New
The base is a dark blue so deep it approaches ink. On the slide of each pistol sits a sliced watermelon with red pulp and a green rind, its face contorted into a snarl, yellow eyes and teeth bared. Gold zigzags, little stars and dots are scattered around, and turquoise lettering in the manner of graffiti runs over the grips. The lower grip is red, with ribbed checkering.
In Factory New this pair has a float between 0.00 and 0.07. The artwork is whole: the slide edges, the frame corner and the green rim of the rind are free of nicks, and no pale metal shows under the paint. Once the skin has dropped, its wear is fixed for good.
Valve describes the subject as a distorted, frightening watermelon on a dark blue background, and signs the description "Sweet dreams...".
Where the Dual Berettas | Melondrama came from
The Dreams & Nightmares Collection came out on January 21, 2022, and the Melondrama was in it from the first day. Valve's release note for the case mentions seventeen skins picked from the Steam Workshop for CS:GO.
What to check before buying
When choosing this skin in this wear, buyers look at the following:
- float: across 0.00 to 0.07 every copy is equally clean, and the number decides;
- stickers and name tag on the pistols themselves: they stay with the listing and are part of the price.
A lucky pattern cannot be fished out of this skin, because there is only ever one. The stretch from 0.00 to 0.07 is short, so there is little point in chasing the number.
What the Dual Berettas | Melondrama costs in Factory New
Factory New costs more than any other wear:
- Minimal Wear is cheaper by a little over half;
- Field-Tested and Well-Worn are two and a half times cheaper;
- Battle-Scarred is nearly three times cheaper.
The other four wears lie close together, with the clean one standing apart.
In this wear the skin sits in the middle of the three Classified Dual Berettas. Dual Berettas | Twin Turbo is cheaper by a little over a tenth, and Dual Berettas | Cobra Strike costs more than five times as much.
Getting the Dual Berettas | Melondrama
The Dreams & Nightmares Case gives out the Dual Berettas | Melondrama, and the skin has no other case.
A contract of ten skins from one step down in the same collection assembles the Melondrama. The skin itself works as an entry into a trade-up for a Covert: AK-47 | Nightwish or MP9 | Starlight Protector.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is a StatTrak version of the Dual Berettas | Melondrama, and no souvenir packages were ever released for it.
Stickers and craft on the Dual Berettas | Melondrama
On the clean blue base, light stickers read at once, and gold ones echo the zigzag pattern. Red ones get lost on the pulp and the grip, and turquoise ones compete with the lettering. Stickers are best placed on the blue areas near the frame, since covering the snarl on the slide would be a shame.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Dual Berettas | Melondrama in Factory New makes sense when:
- you want duals with whole paint and a crisp snarl on both slides;
- the skin is for a collection, and Factory New costs more than two times the other wears;
- a craft calls for a clean dark blue ground with no scuffs.
