The Minimal Wear (MW) Dual Berettas | Melondrama is a pair of watermelon duals with light scuffing at the edges, at half the price of the clean version. It is a Classified skin from the Dreams & Nightmares Case, and it plays for both sides in CS2.
What the Dual Berettas | Melondrama looks like in Minimal Wear
A split watermelon lies on the dark blue ground, red pulp inside a green rind, and the face on it snarls with yellow eyes and teeth. Gold zigzags and dots alternate with stars, turquoise graffiti scrawls run along the grips, and the lower part of each grip is red with checkering. The pistols are mirror images: the watermelon looks out from the slides of both.
This wear is assigned a float of 0.07 to 0.15. The paint is all there, and light specks show only on the most prominent slide edges and at the frame corners. The dark blue ground is still deep at this level of wear, so the picture reads as a whole.
Where the Dual Berettas | Melondrama came from
The Dreams & Nightmares Collection came out on January 21, 2022, and the Melondrama has been in it from the first day. In its note on the case Valve speaks of seventeen skins from the Steam Workshop. To the description of the pair it added a warning: two big Berettas at once lower accuracy and lengthen the reload.
What to check before buying
Several details matter when choosing this skin in this wear:
- float: near 0.07 the paint is cleaner, and at 0.15 the scuffing on the slides is easier to spot;
- stickers and a name tag already applied to the copy you are looking at.
There is no point in hunting by pattern index, because the artwork never changes. The stretch from 0.07 to 0.15 is short, so differences between listings are lost in the margin of error.
What the Dual Berettas | Melondrama costs in Minimal Wear
Next to Minimal Wear, the other wears look like this:
- Factory New is dearer by a little over double;
- Field-Tested is a tenth cheaper;
- Well-Worn is cheaper by roughly an eighth;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by roughly a sixth.
Less than a fifth of the price separates Minimal Wear from the three wears below it, and the only noticeable step is up to Factory New.
Among the Classified Dual Berettas the skin again lands in the middle. Dual Berettas | Twin Turbo is cheaper by a little over a seventh, and Dual Berettas | Cobra Strike costs seven and a half times more.
Getting the Dual Berettas | Melondrama
The Dreams & Nightmares Case is the source of the Dual Berettas | Melondrama: no other case holds it, and no souvenir packages exist for it.
In a contract, ten skins of the rank below from this collection turn into the Melondrama. Ten Classified skins of the set, in turn, yield one Covert: AK-47 | Nightwish or MP9 | Starlight Protector.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the Dual Berettas | Melondrama exists; souvenir packages do not.
Stickers and craft on the Dual Berettas | Melondrama
The artwork is dense and free spots are few: the slides are taken by the watermelon, the grips by lettering. White and yellow stickers show up on the blue at once, while red ones vanish on the pulp. Clean patches of dark blue near the barrels take a craft most neatly.
Who this wear suits
Minimal Wear is worth buying if:
- you want a nearly clean watermelon but see no reason to pay double for Factory New;
- it matters that the dark ground is not worn away at the slide edges;
- a craft in CS2 needs a blue base with the gold zigzags intact.
