It is one of the most liquid grades and an affordable way into many expensive finishes. This filter lists every Field-Tested skin in stock on the LIS-SKINS market.
Field-Tested is the middle of the five wear grades, between Minimal Wear and Well-Worn. The grade is set by a float value: for FT it runs from 0.15 to 0.38, so scuffs show but the pattern still reads well. Roughly one listing in five in the catalog is Field-Tested, which makes it the easiest condition both to find and to resell later.
The Field-Tested float range runs from 0.15 to 0.38. For some finishes this is the cleanest grade available, because a lower float never drops:
AWP | Asiimov and M4A4 | Asiimov both start at a float of 0.18, so Factory New and Minimal Wear do not exist for them and Field-Tested is the cleanest version you can get.
For any skin with a high minimum float, FT is usually the best compromise between looks and price.
The reverse happens too: AWP | Redline starts at 0.10, so Minimal Wear does exist for it, even though FT is where it sells most.
Field-Tested suits finishes that are worn by design, where scuffs do not hurt the look: AWP | Asiimov, M4A4 | Asiimov, AK-47 | Redline, AWP | Redline. Buyers also drop to FT on expensive skins to save, and the gap can be severalfold. An AK-47 | Vulcan runs about $530 in Factory New against roughly $170 in Field-Tested.
Field-Tested is usually cheaper than Minimal Wear and pricier than Well-Worn of the same skin. The price is set by model, rarity, pattern, StatTrak™ and stickers, not by wear alone. With supply this deep, FT is a convenient grade to buy at market price without paying a premium for a scarce copy. On the LIS-SKINS market, Field-Tested prices sit below Steam, and the full list in stock is shown in the catalog above.
On LIS-SKINS you can buy Field-Tested skins cheaper than on Steam: pay by card or crypto, and get instant delivery on Instant listings. Pick a copy in the Field-Tested filter, pay for the order, and receive the item in your Steam inventory.
By float and by looks: Minimal Wear runs from 0.07 to 0.15 with barely visible scuffs, while Field-Tested runs from 0.15 to 0.38 with more obvious wear but a lower price. FT is chosen for the balance of cost and appearance.
Yes, for most skins it is the sensible choice: the pattern reads clearly and the price is well below the clean grades. It is an especially good deal on finishes that already look worn, like the Asiimov series.
Most, but far from all. Roughly one finish in seven is capped at a float of 0.15, so Field-Tested does not exist for it: that is how Doppler and Fade knives, the AWP | Fade and the AWP | Lightning Strike work. The reverse happens as well: Rust Coat on knives starts only at 0.40, so it exists in Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred alone, while the same finish on the PP-Bizon, MAG-7, Nova and Sawed-Off does come in FT.
Field-Tested skins are a good deal on the LIS-SKINS market: prices below Steam, payment by card or crypto, and instant delivery on Instant listings.
