In Field-Tested (FT) the green slide of the Glock-18 | Glockingbird still reads whole, with the wear confined to the edges. The grade is given the float band 0.15 to 0.38. The rank is Restricted, and the pistol belongs to the Terrorist side. No case carries it: the finish sits in The Boreal Collection, and items from that collection arrive as weekly drops earned by playtime.
What the Glock-18 | Glockingbird looks like in Field-Tested
The slide is dark green, and pale gray blossoms and bird silhouettes are spread across its side with a yellow arc passing over them. Two more areas take yellow: the base of the grip and a patch by the muzzle, both printed with a fine check. The frame is gray-olive and left unpainted. Birds and flowers are given as silhouettes, with no detail worked into them.
In Field-Tested the slide edge and the yellow grip pad lighten first, and the artwork breaks off where they do. The flower field on the flat of the slide survives, so from across a site the pistol looks nearly clean. Pick inside 0.15 to 0.38 here, because the two ends of the band do not look the same.
Where the Glock-18 | Glockingbird came from
There is no community author behind this one: Valve drew it in house, and no Steam Workshop submission stands behind the artwork. The Boreal Collection was released on March 31, 2025. The same update put three sets at once on the weekly reward list, bringing in more than seventy new finishes. Valve's catalog numbers this one 1282.
What to check before buying
A Glock-18 | Glockingbird listing is picked on these points:
- the float inside 0.15 to 0.38, the slide edge still being even at the lower end;
- the yellow pad on the grip, which gives out earlier than the green field;
- the name tag and any stickers already sitting on that copy.
Hunting by pattern index is pointless on this finish, since the artwork does not move.
What the Glock-18 | Glockingbird costs in Field-Tested
The gap to the clean grades is wide: Factory New asks more than five times as much, Minimal Wear about two and a quarter. Downward there is no step at all, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred costing the same handful of cents. The order among the three worn grades rests on individual listings rather than on anything in the finish.
Among Restricted Glocks priced in this grade it stands third from the bottom of sixteen, with only the Glock-18 | Umbral Rabbit and the Glock-18 | Block-18 below. Upward the distance opens quickly: the Glock-18 | Weasel is about twice as dear, and the Glock-18 | Synth Leaf runs hundreds of times above.
Getting the Glock-18 | Glockingbird
The first route is the weekly reward for time played. Boreal Collection items arrive that way, with no key and no case to open.
The second is a trade-up contract, fed with ten skins one rank below from the same set. The set holds two Restricted finishes, so the chance of landing the Glock is one in two.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Glockingbird
No StatTrak version of the Glock-18 | Glockingbird was ever released, and no Souvenir packages were made for this finish either: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up where no package was ever made.
Free field is scarce: flowers hold the side of the slide, and the yellow check takes the base of the grip. That leaves the frame above the trigger guard. The green and yellow ground kills warm stickers and picks up white and blue ones. On the lightening slide edge part of a sticker will come away with the paint.
Who this wear suits
This grade is the one to take when at least one of these fits:
- a cheap colored pistol for CS2 is wanted, with no fivefold premium for Factory New;
- the artwork matters more than the edges, and the blossoms and birds are whole here;
- the pistol is going under a cheap sticker craft in CS2.
Below 0.25 the slide edge is still even; at the top of the band the yellow pad has gone pale. In money the step down to Well-Worn is token, but by eye it shows.
