M4A1-S | Black Lotus in Factory New (FN): clean paint without pale edges, and the second cheapest Classified rifle in this wear. Floats run from 0.00 to 0.07, a tenth of the finish's scale, which stretches to 0.70. The rank is Classified, and the rifle drops from the Kilowatt Case.

What the M4A1-S | Black Lotus looks like in Factory New

Deep blue-violet, close to indigo, carries the whole finish. Branches with leaves trail across the handguard, receiver and stock in light-blue lines. White flowers show on the handguard and the front of the receiver, and one dark orange flower sits on the receiver's side. The barrel, suppressor and magazine are graphite and the grip is dark gray. The trigger guard and the sling swivel are outlined in pink-copper.

In Factory New the paint is all of a piece: the handguard lines are bright, the flowers are white, and the ribs carry no pale scuffs. Valve describes the skin as a black lotus flower on a blue-violet ground. On the render it reads through its outline and orange core.

Where the M4A1-S | Black Lotus came from

moonfighter drew the finish and uploaded the Steam Workshop submission on September 17, 2023. In moonfighter's account, the Black Lotus series was redone entirely for CS2: the artwork was drawn anew, and the materials were assembled with physically based rendering.

The Kilowatt Collection was released on February 6, 2024, and this M4A1-S has been part of it since launch. Valve's update notes open their list of novelties with the case: seventeen community finishes, and a Kukri Knife with its own finishes as the rare find. The finish's number in the catalog is 1166.

What to check before buying

Before buying an M4A1-S | Black Lotus, check the following:

• float: inside 0.00 to 0.07, look at the handguard ribs, which lighten first;


• the orange flower on the receiver and the white flowers on the handguard, which should be whole;


• any name tag or stickers already applied, which remain on the item.

Pattern is not a variable on this skin, since every copy matches. The 0.00 to 0.07 band is tight, and listings at its extremes differ only in the number.

What the M4A1-S | Black Lotus costs in Factory New

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Black Lotus

The M4A1-S | Black Lotus comes in a StatTrak version as well. Souvenir packages for this finish were never released: only tournament map collections got them. Even so, a souvenir can be made by hand. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from the inventory. That is why a stray souvenir copy occasionally appears where no packages ever existed.

A clean dark base gives a craft the most to work with: white and yellow stickers read on the indigo, while blue and purple ones merge into the branches. Stickers sit calmest on the suppressor and the stock, and the flower on the receiver is better left clear.

Who this wear suits

Buying the M4A1-S | Black Lotus in Factory New is sensible in these cases:

• you want an unmarked blue-violet rifle for CS2 without pale edges;


• you are planning a CS2 craft where a clean base keeps the stickers legible;
