The M4A4 | Eye of Horus in Battle-Scarred (BS) is the cheapest of the five wears of this Covert from the Anubis Collection. The skin's float scale is capped at 0.70, so even the most scuffed copy never reaches maximum wear.
What the M4A4 | Eye of Horus looks like in Battle-Scarred
Valve describes the skin as a white base with gold accents and the Egyptian falcon god Horus. On the model itself the overall tone is gold, with a sandy-olive cast to the metal. The handguard is light, almost white, with small colored marks, and the front sight is brick red. The magazine is built from turquoise, red and gold blocks.
In Battle-Scarred the gold is rubbed away along the edges more than in any other wear, and the light handguard loses its cleanness. The magazine blocks and the turquoise lines on the body stay distinguishable.
What to check before buying
What matters when you buy this rifle:
- the float, inside the 0.45 to 0.70 band;
- a name tag and stickers, if they are already on this M4A4 | Eye of Horus;
- the type of listing: Souvenir copies of this skin are sold as separate items.
The float here runs from 0.45 to 0.70, which is 0.25 of the skin's 0.70 scale. That band leaves room to choose, since copies closer to 0.45 are cleaner. From one listing to the next, the pattern does not change.
What the M4A4 | Eye of Horus costs in Battle-Scarred
The other wears, measured against this one:
- Factory New is close to five times pricier;
- Minimal Wear is pricier by a factor of two and a half;
- Field-Tested costs one and a half times as much, and a bit more;
- Well-Worn costs about two fifths more.
Of the thirteen Covert M4A4 skins, only Buzz Kill costs more in Battle-Scarred, at about one and a half times the price. Bullet Rain is cheaper by only a little, The Coalition by about a fifth, and Asiimov and Royal Paladin by more than two fifths. The most affordable Covert M4A4 skins, for example Full Throttle, are almost six times cheaper.
Getting the M4A4 | Eye of Horus
The skin is part of the Anubis Collection Package and of the Anubis Souvenir Packages: Paris 2023, Copenhagen 2024, Shanghai 2024 and Austin 2025. The trade-up route to the M4A4 | Eye of Horus works like this: ten skins from the rank below, taken from the package. It is the only Covert skin in the Anubis Collection, so the chance of landing on it in such a trade-up is one in one.
The Anubis Collection that holds this skin came out in April 2023, and the M4A4 | Eye of Horus arrived with the same update.
StatTrak and Souvenir
StatTrak copies of the M4A4 | Eye of Horus have never been released. The Souvenir version is real, though. The finish sits in the Anubis Souvenir Packages for Paris 2023, Copenhagen 2024, Shanghai 2024 and Austin 2025, and those copies arrive with gold tournament stickers and a player autograph. A Souvenir M4A4 | Eye of Horus has its own page and its own price.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Eye of Horus
On worn gold, stickers with a contrasting outline work better: white and dark blue ones read, while gold and turquoise ones echo the body and get lost. The light handguard is the calmest spot. The magazine with its colored blocks is overloaded and does not suit a sticker.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred is worth buying if:
- you want an Egyptian-themed Covert M4A4 at the lowest price among the five wears;
- worn gold and a light handguard do not get in your way;
- you choose by the float number, not by the wear label.
In CS2 this level of wear changes only the look: shooting is the same in every wear.
