Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most worn of the five versions of the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo, an Industrial Grade rifle in blue tiger camo. The skin belongs to The Ascent Collection and has no case. Its scale ends at 0.60, and Battle-Scarred takes the last 25% of it. For CS2 the skin can be bought in any wear.
What the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo looks like in Battle-Scarred
Valve's name for the artwork is a blue tiger camo. On the rifle it looks like this: a cold steel base with a blue cast, crossed by thin cream stripes that interlace. The pistol grip and the front sight are olive-gray, and every other part carries the pattern.
Battle-Scarred is the heaviest wear possible: the paint lightens and rubs off along the edges, and where it is knocked out, the cream stripes merge with the background. A copy's wear is recorded in its float at drop and stays the same.
Where the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo came from
The Ascent Collection was released on March 31, 2025, and the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo has been in the set since launch. The caption on the finish is "Endangered no more", a play by Valve on the tiger pattern.
What to check before buying
In a listing, check the following:
- the float: the 0.45 to 0.60 band is short, and listings within it differ little;
- stickers or a name tag already on the listed copy.
All copies of the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo carry the same pattern. In this wear the band is a short 0.45 to 0.60, so there is no point in chasing a number.
What the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo costs in Battle-Scarred
On this skin the order of prices does not follow wear. Minimal Wear is cheaper than Battle-Scarred by a factor of two and a quarter, and Field-Tested by a few percent. Well-Worn is pricier by a sixth, Factory New by almost double.
Among Industrial Grade M4A4s in this wear, four skins cost less. They are the M4A4 | Mainframe, the M4A4 | Steel Work, the M4A4 | Aeolian Dark and the M4A4 | Urban DDPAT. Above it stand the M4A4 | Jungle Tiger, the M4A4 | Tornado, the M4A4 | Desert Storm and the M4A4 | Dark Blossom.
Getting the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo
The M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo has never dropped from a case. The Ascent Collection is on the weekly reward list for playing time, and copies come from there.
The skin is built by a trade-up of ten skins from the rank below, from one set. The collection holds nine Industrial Grade skins, so the outcome is random. The skin itself can then go into a trade-up for a Mil-Spec skin.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is no StatTrak edition of the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo. Souvenir copies are out there, yet this finish never had Souvenir packages of its own: those were issued only for the tournament map collections. A copy is made in the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo
The tiger pattern on a light blue ground is dense, and small stickers get lost in it. Dark and red stickers hold contrast on the light stripes, while white, cream and light blue ones merge with the camo. The olive-gray grip is free of pattern, so a sticker reads cleaner there.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred makes sense here if:
- you want a worn look rather than untouched camo;
- price matters: Factory New costs almost double, Well-Worn a sixth more;
- you are putting together a set of Ascent skins in different wears.
If the lowest price is what you need, Minimal Wear on this skin is cheaper by a factor of two and a quarter.
