The M4A4 | Neo-Noir in Factory New (FN) is a comic-style portrait in pink and turquoise on a Covert rifle from The Clutch Collection. Floats in this wear are confined to 0.00 to 0.07.
What the M4A4 | Neo-Noir looks like in Factory New
The side of the receiver is raspberry pink, and a face sits right at the magwell. The hair is pink streaked with white; the eyes and outlines are black with turquoise highlights. The stock has a white-and-pink ground with turquoise swirls, and the handguard is gray-white.
The front end with the barrel and the carry-handle rail are left as dark metal. There is a turquoise ring at the muzzle, and the folding front sight is white. Valve gave the skin a line about a girl who took what she could and vanished into a crumbling dystopia. The scale allows this wear only 0.00 to 0.07, which is why copies look alike.
Where the M4A4 | Neo-Noir came from
The author is donschi, the same artist who drew the USP-S | Neo-Noir. The Workshop submission was titled "M4A4_Neo-Noir" and went up on October 17, 2017. The Clutch Collection opened in the game on February 14, 2018, and the M4A4 | Neo-Noir was there from day one.
In the Workshop, donschi presented the work as a new illustration: his heroine fights with a sword and carries a scar from earlier fights.
What to check before buying
A few points are worth checking before you buy an M4A4 | Neo-Noir:
- the float: the band of 0.00 to 0.07 covers about eight percent of the scale, and the skin's ceiling is 0.90;
- the thin turquoise lines at the muzzle and on the stock, which go first in the more worn wears;
- the name tag and stickers this M4A4 | Neo-Noir already carries.
Pattern index changes nothing on this rifle.
What the M4A4 | Neo-Noir costs in Factory New
The other wears are cheaper by these factors:
- Minimal Wear by 1.82 times;
- Field-Tested by 2.52 times;
- Well-Worn by 2.94 times;
- Battle-Scarred by 3.12 times.
Of the thirteen Covert M4A4 skins, this one in Factory New costs more than three: the M4A4 | Desert-Strike, M4A4 | The Battlestar and M4A4 | In Living Color. The M4A4 | Temukau is level with it, and the M4A4 | X-Ray costs 1.3 times more. Above them come the M4A4 | Buzz Kill, M4A4 | Eye of Horus and M4A4 | The Coalition, at five times, almost eight times and twelve times its price.
Getting the M4A4 | Neo-Noir
The skin drops from the Clutch Case. A trade-up produces it as well. Ten skins one rank down from the same collection go in, and the skins on offer for that are AUG | Stymphalian, AWP | Mortis and USP-S | Cortex.
StatTrak and Souvenir
StatTrak is available for the M4A4 | Neo-Noir. Souvenir packages for this finish were never issued; a Souvenir copy can still be made at the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Neo-Noir
The face on the side of the receiver is the main element, and it is best left uncovered. The handguard and magazine are freer. White, black and turquoise stickers pick up the palette, while red and orange ones fight with the raspberry.
Who this wear suits
Factory New suits the M4A4 | Neo-Noir for three reasons:
- the black outlines of the face and the turquoise lines have to stay intact;
- stickers go on an untouched base, so a float near zero is needed;
- the 1.8-times premium over Minimal Wear is not a deterrent.
For playing CS2, the wears differ only in looks.
