M4A4 | The Coalition (Well-Worn)

The M4A4 | The Coalition in Well-Worn (WW) is a Covert from the 2021 Train Collection. It costs almost one and a half times as much as Battle-Scarred and is more than twice as cheap as Minimal Wear.

What the M4A4 | The Coalition looks like in Well-Worn

The black body carries gold geometry: diamonds on the receiver and the magazine, honeycomb across the top of the receiver, gold lines along the handguard. A gold plate runs along the stock, and the blue insert sits on the handguard.

In Well-Worn the gold dulls, especially on the magazine diamonds and along the edges of the stock plate, and light marks show through on the black base. The ornament still reads as a whole, and the contrast between gold and black holds.

What to check before buying

Between one listing and the next, this is what changes:

• the float, somewhere inside 0.38 to 0.45;


• stickers and a name tag: on this skin they transfer together with the listing.

The float here runs from 0.38 to 0.45. The spread is so small that choosing by float makes no sense. The pattern is fixed, and the price does not depend on it.

The other wears, relative to Well-Worn:

• Factory New costs more than six and a half times as much;


• Minimal Wear is more than twice as expensive;


• Field-Tested costs almost twice as much;


• Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a third.

Of the twelve Covert M4A4 skins, the Coalition in Well-Worn is third from the top. Above it are Eye of Horus, by about a fifth, and Buzz Kill, by about a third. Asiimov is cheaper by about a fifth, and Bullet Rain and Royal Paladin by half.

No case holds the M4A4 | The Coalition. There is one road to it: a contract on ten skins from the rank below, taken from the same collection. The skin appeared in the game in September 2021.

StatTrak and Souvenir

This skin has no StatTrak version. Souvenir packages never carried the finish either: they were issued only for tournament map collections. If you want a Souvenir copy, the Souvenir-O-Matic makes one from a regular skin in your inventory by attaching gold tournament stickers and a player autograph.

Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | The Coalition

On worn gold, stickers with a heavy outline do best, because a thin line blurs next to the light marks. The black lower part of the handguard and the grip give an even background, and the magazine diamonds are best left alone.

Who this wear suits

Well-Worn pays off in these cases:

• you want a gold-and-black Covert M4A4 without the price of the top two wears;


• a worn gold pattern is acceptable;


• the gold should be more intact than in Battle-Scarred, which is cheaper by almost a third.

In CS2 the wear makes no difference to shooting.
