What the MP7 | Bloodsport looks like in Factory New

The body is split into bright red and dark blue-black panels, with white graphics over them in the manner of a racing livery. On the right side of the receiver you can read the word "NINJA" and a drawing of eyes with eyebrows; on the magazine, "STRIKE". Nearby are a white skull, a round emblem, a square like a QR code and small ideograms. The charging handle, the safety lever, the trigger and the front sight stayed gold-yellow, while the handguard rails, the barrel in its slot and the bolt carrier are gray metal.

On this finish, wear settles on the protruding parts: the charging handle, the safety lever, the receiver edges and the stock corners. In Factory New every letter of the inscriptions is whole and the yellow controls keep their color completely. The red panels on the flat sides last longest and look even in a clean grade. The scale gives this grade on the MP7 | Bloodsport only 0.00 to 0.07, so copies look alike.

Where the MP7 | Bloodsport came from

An artist posting as SLIMEface drew the finish and put the submission "BLOODSPORT - MP7" on the Steam Workshop on April 14, 2016. The Clutch Collection was added to the game on February 14, 2018. In Valve's catalog of finishes the design is number 696.

What to check before buying

A few points are worth checking before you buy an MP7 | Bloodsport:

• the float: toward 0.07 the white lettering begins to lose letters at the edges;


• the state of the yellow details, which are small and go first;


• stickers and a name tag left on the MP7 | Bloodsport by a previous owner.

There is no "rare" pattern to buy on the MP7 | Bloodsport: the artwork is the same on every copy.

What the MP7 | Bloodsport costs in Factory New

Minimal Wear is nearly half the price, and Field-Tested costs about two and a half times less. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred sit almost level with FT: the three worn grades differ by percentages, not by multiples.

Among Classified and Covert MP7s, the Bloodsport is the most expensive finish. It is the only Covert rank this model has, and of the Classified finishes the closest are MP7 | Smoking Kills and MP7 | Nemesis, each nearly three times cheaper. MP7 | Abyssal Apparition costs about a fifth as much.

The direct route is the Clutch Case, where two finishes share the Covert rank: this model and M4A4 | Neo-Noir.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the MP7 | Bloodsport

The MP7 | Bloodsport has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish, because packages only ever covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up where no package was ever made.

There is little open space on the body: the side of the receiver is held by "NINJA" and the eyes, and the magazine is taken up by "STRIKE". What is left for a craft is the stock and the lower handguard. White and red stickers dissolve into the graphics, while black and blue ones read confidently on the red panels.

Who this wear suits

Factory New on the MP7 | Bloodsport is worth it when:

• you want whole lettering and untouched yellow details;


• you are putting together a set in red and black for CS2;


• the submachine gun is bound for the inventory rather than every round.

At a distance the white graphics read the same in any grade, so a clean float is overkill for play here.
