Operation Riptide Case

The Operation Riptide Case is a Base Grade CS2 case with seventeen skins. Its rare special item pool is knives of five models carrying six finishes, Gamma Doppler among them.

What's in the Operation Riptide Case

Two Covert, three Classified, five Restricted and seven Mil-Spec skins: that is how the seventeen skins of the Operation Riptide Case are divided. The Covert ones are AK-47 | Leet Museo and Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive.

Classified holds MAC-10 | Toybox, Glock-18 | Snack Attack and SSG 08 | Turbo Peek. In Restricted you find MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum, FAMAS | ZX Spectron, Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol, MP9 | Mount Fuji and M4A4 | Spider Lily.

Which knives drop from the Operation Riptide Case

The models in the pool are the Bowie Knife, Butterfly Knife, Falchion Knife, Huntsman Knife and Shadow Daggers. There are six finishes: Autotronic, Black Laminate, Bright Water, Freehand, Gamma Doppler and Lore. No knife without a finish is among the pool's items.

Gamma Doppler rolls phases and gems, so items within that one finish differ from each other. As everywhere, the model, finish and wear are all drawn at random.

Do you need a key

Yes. The Operation Riptide Case is opened with a key that can only be bought in the game. Since October 2019 keys cannot be transferred between accounts or sold on marketplaces, so on LIS-SKINS the case is bought on its own, without a key.

Opening is optional. If you are after a particular knife or an ordinary skin from the set, it is easier to take it as a ready-made item. That beats waiting on the outcome of an opening.

What the Operation Riptide Case costs

The Operation Riptide Case belongs to the top quarter of the case row by price. Just above it are the Operation Breakout Weapon Case (about 6 percent more), the Huntsman Weapon Case (about 11 percent more) and the Winter Offensive Weapon Case (about 1.4 times).

The Operation Vanguard Weapon Case is cheaper by about 1.6 times, the Chroma Case also by about 1.6 times, and the Operation Broken Fang Case by about 1.3 times. The CS:GO Weapon Case costs roughly sixteen times as much.

Who it suits

The Operation Riptide Case is a sensible buy when:

• you want a chance at Gamma Doppler, Autotronic or Lore on a Butterfly Knife, Falchion Knife or Bowie Knife;

• you like AK-47 | Leet Museo and Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive;

• you want a case whose pool has five knife models but only six finishes.
