The P250 | See Ya Later in Field-Tested (FT): the green base has already paled along the slide edge. The crocodile jaws and the gold on the grip are intact. Listings run from 0.15 to 0.38 in float. It is a Covert skin, and the only case it drops from is the Spectrum 2 Case.

What the P250 | See Ya Later looks like in Field-Tested

The green base is uneven in tone, running from grass green to dark swamp. Along the top of the slide, from muzzle to rear sight, runs a mouth of white teeth, and the creature's eye is yellow-gold. On the grip sits a large golden gear-sun, ringed by small technical marks and a short line of text. The frame is gray-blue, with its lower part left unpainted. Teeth and scales read clearly even without zooming in.

In Field-Tested the slide edge and the top of the grip lighten first. Green fades to gray there, and the white teeth lose their white and turn cream. The gear on the grip still shines gold, and the jaws along the slide do not break up. By 0.38 the edges collect enough gray that the pistol looks properly worked.

Where the P250 | See Ya Later came from

The finish was made by ClegFX and reached the game through the Steam Workshop. The Spectrum 2 Collection came out on September 14, 2017. In Valve's skin catalog the item is entry number 678.

What to check before buying

A listing for this P250 comes down to a few things:

• float: at 0.15 the slide edge is still green, at 0.38 it is plainly gray;


• any stickers and name tag the previous owner left on it;


• the tone of the teeth: they lose their white sooner than the grip loses its gold.

There are no pattern variants on this finish, so there is nothing to choose by there. The 0.15 to 0.38 band is wide, so Field-Tested copies come with noticeably different amounts of wear.

What the P250 | See Ya Later costs in Field-Tested

The finish's wear scale is cut off at 0.70, so even the worst copies never reach 1.0. The other wears compare like this:

• Factory New costs about a ninth more;


• Minimal Wear and Well-Worn sit level with this wear, within three percent of it;


• Battle-Scarred is about an eleventh cheaper.

The distance from the top wear to the bottom one is about a ninth of the price, which means wear barely moves the price of this finish. The choice is a visual one, not a financial one: people take the float they like.

Among P250 skins the Covert rank holds this finish alone, so there is nothing in its rank to compare it with.

The finish drops from the Spectrum 2 Case and from no other case. You can also get it through a trade-up contract of ten skins from the rank below, all from one collection. The collection has two Covert skins, so the result is a random one of them.

As a Covert, the finish can also go into a trade-up toward a rare special item.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the P250 | See Ya Later

The P250 | See Ya Later has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish: those were made only for tournament map collections. But you can build a souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why a few souvenir copies turn up now and then even where no packages ever existed.

There is little free space on this pistol: the slide is taken by the jaws, the grip by the gear. What remains is the gray lower part of the frame and the magazine, and a gray background takes any color. Green and gold stickers dissolve next to the finish; cool blues and whites give contrast. The worn slide edge is not where a sticker usually goes.

Who this wear suits

The P250 | See Ya Later in Field-Tested makes sense when:

• you want an inexpensive Covert pistol for CS2 with a recognizable design;


• paying extra for clean edges does not look worthwhile, because the extra here is small;


• you would rather pick the float by hand than take the first listing that comes up.

If white teeth and an even green matter to you, look at Factory New instead: the premium is small and the edges are untouched.
